His overall instincts and football awareness are outstanding. He has good size, is well proportioned and displays good initial quickness. Can drive defenders off the line of scrimmage and shows the consistent ability to get open quickly. Does a solid job of finding soft spots in zone coverage. He possesses soft hands. Does a great job of adjusting to poorly thrown ball. Is able to pluck on the run and get up field, without losing much in transition. Hands are quick and he will extend away from his frame to attack the ball. Runs hard after the catch and isn't afraid to lower his shoulder to initiate contact. He's extremely competitive and will compete for the ball in traffic. Possesses very good initial quickness after the catch to make defenders miss and can turn screens, reverses or short routes into big plays. He is a tough football player as evidenced by his production on the defensive side of the football. Is very aggressive and plays with a high motor in everything he does. With added experience, he could end up being a really good return man and his open-field run skills are amongst the best in this class. Overall, Jones is versatile and extremely productive with gamebreaking ability and he is a guy that could hurt you from a variety of positions, which gives him terrific value. He runs well, can make you miss and possesses great ball skills. Excellent prospect.
