QUAN BRAY

This guy has a chance to be special at the next level. Bray is an electrifying athlete that can run like the wind and possesses outstanding quickness and change-of-direction skills. He plays quarterback and not just for his running ability which is what makes him so dangerous. He can actually make plays in the passing game and while he will not play QB at the next level, he has the arm to threaten deep and make plays in the short and intermediate passing game. When he gets on the perimeter you have to respect his arm which means accounting for his legs is a real chore. It is clear he is at QB so that each and every play starts with the ball in his hands. This is a scary playmaker in terms of physical tools. All indications are that he'll end up at running back or wide receiver. He is built like a receiver, but has open field run instincts and elusiveness. He is scary when the initial play breaks down--has supreme quickness, burst and acceleration and has a knack for pulling a rabbit out of his hat when he gets in trouble. His initial quickness and sudden change-of-direction make him a nightmare in space and he appears to possess a thicker build that his listed weight. Runs with authority and displays adequate lower body strength. He has the lateral agility and burst to make multiple defenders miss and is a homerun threat in the open field. He has huge upside as a return man both punt and kick-off and has the ability to change field position in a hurry. Top end speed is really impressive and he is the type of player that you take and decide what position to place him at later. He appears to have good overall football instincts and is a very confident player. He could line up at WR and be an immediate factor with very limited experience because he is such a versatile athlete. Overall, Bray has very few physical flaws as a prospect. Once he transitions to his college position we see very little of a learning curve for him to adapt and would expect him to potentially be a factor as a freshman.
