Thomas is a tall productive receiver with good body control. Has the size and athleticism for the wide receiver position at the major level of competition. Although we see steady playing speed the burst or second gear necessary to go the distance is lacking. This is a smooth athlete with good body control; flashes the ability to get in and out of cuts with little wasted motion however we don't see great separation coming out of his final break. This prospect is a good short/medium route runner; does a good job running the skinny post demonstrating the toughness to come inside and across the middle; can take a hit to make the difficult inside catch. We like his ability to concentrate and battle for balls in a crowd; is competitive in a traffic showing the ability to go up and battle for the high throw. His hands look natural and strong, demonstrating the ability to catch the low out of the frame ball; with additional bulk we see the potential to become a strong inside receiver; his height is certainly an advantage. We don't see Thomas stepping on the field and becoming an immediate starter, rather one needing some time and perhaps a red shirt year to develop physically before gaining meaningful playing time.
