LEON ORR

Orr is certainly an interesting prospect. A kid with good size you could almost list him as a jumbo athlete. The majority of his play seems to be on offense in high school where he is used primarily as a tight end. He moves well for his size and has good hands and could be projected to the offensive side of the ball in college. If you follow the old school thought that you put your best athletes on defense, than Orr should play on the defensive line in college. He may have limited experience as a defensive tackle, but if even so he still could be a very productive player in the trenches. He has good bulk and height and has a nice wing span. Displays the ability to be an athletic defensive tackle that could help be a factor on plays on the perimeter. He needs to watch his pad level and you would like to see him work on his quickness off the ball. He has that great reach and will use it though you would like to see him create better separation when defending the run. He possesses dangerous upside as an interior pass rusher with his athleticism. Displays the ability to be active with his hands and use his reach to club and work past blockers. He has good feet and flashes the ability to be able to set up and freeze blockers. Orr is a kid with nice upside. You wish you could see a little more from him as a defender and while he may need some fine tuning in defensive line play he displays the tools to be a good one. Even though he projects to defense we would not be surprised to see Orr worked into an offense some especially near the goal-line. There is a bit of cloudiness among Orr as a defensive tackle prospect, but he has good tools and potentially a bright future.
