KIARO HOLTS

When Holts gets a hat on defenders they stay blocked. This is a very good run blocker with excellent playing strength. Has the height for the offensive tackle position and his frame should allow for additional bulk. We see very good athleticism which indicates this prospect could play either the tackle or guard positions. Displays good flexibility in a three point stance; is explosive coming off the ball with good initial fit and pad level. Rolls his hips and brings his feet creating movement off the line of scrimmage with his base and leg drive. Demonstrates the quickness to handle quick 1st and 2nd level defenders; is capable of blocking quick movement across his face. Does a real good job sustaining contact with linebackers; his agility and balance allow him to play on his feet well in space and it is obvious this player has the ability to make all the necessary run blocks required at the next level. Shows very good quickness out of his stance when setting in pass protection; bends well with the ability to play stout vs. the power rush; can slide and play flat footed. Displays good initial punch however his location and extension will need polish. This is a tough guy with the aggressive, finishing attitude we like to see in offensive linemen. Holts has the size and athleticism to become a dominant blocker at the major level of competition. It remains to be seen just how soon he will begin to see valuable playing time? Whether or not a red shirt is deemed necessary will play a factor, however once he steps on the field we see a long and productive career.
