JUSTIN SCOTT-WESLEY

Scott is a quick and super speedy prospect that is very green as a route runner, but possesses the skill set and wheels to become a serious playmaker at the next level. He has natural foot quickness and speed that cannot be coached. He also possesses a sturdy, strong build and good frame. Height is above average. Has good initial burst, and shows the ability to drive defenders off the line. Flashes the ability to catch on the run without losing much momentum. Is very good on short and intermediate routes. Shows excellent body control, and gets separation out of breaks. Shows outstanding lateral movement and change-of-direction skills for his size. Is thickly built and shows good strength off the line and especially after the catch. Very difficult to bring down one-on-one. Shows a second gear and the ability to track down passes in the air. Will pull away from defenders in the open field and is capable of taking the short catch and turning it into a homerun. With Scott what you have is an extremely talented prospect that is still learning the ropes and is raw in many areas. He is still learning how to attack alignment and eat cushion. Has a tendency to just fire off the ball and get downfield quickly, but reckless at the same time when it comes to intermediate routes. His tools allow for him to win, sometimes easily, but he will need more to his game at the next level and this will come with tutoring and experience. His ability level makes him an exciting prospect and his speed makes him a weapon each time the ball is in his hands. We feel Scott's best football is ahead of him as he becomes a complete guy through coaching and experience. We also feel he has very good upside to be a factor as a return man. Good prospect with the tools to be excellent in time.
