Fulton is the complete package as a cornerback prospect. While not elite in one particular area, he should be highly-coveted on the recruiting trail; he has the physical tools and skill set to excel in both man-to-man and zone coverage schemes at the next level. Has very good size with his tall, long body and lean muscle tone. Very savvy with a good understanding of different coverages. Plays with good technique. Has natural coverage awareness and instincts at the position. Fluid in his pedal, hips and turns, particularly for a taller corner. May be better playing and breaking on the ball in front of him. Flashes good transitional quickness and burst out of his pedal closing the cushion on underneath routes. Has a good understanding of zone concepts knowing how to level off, read the quarterback and make breaks on the correct route. Does a very good job jamming and re-routing. Takes direct angles to the ball against the run or pass and closes hard in space with good short-area explosion and burst. Limits yards on hitches and other shorter routes. Shows he can mirror off the line and in man coverage. He flips his hips relatively smooth for a taller corner. Flashes good makeup speed and acceleration. Does a great job placing himself between the ball and the receiver and making plays on the pass. Utilizes his size to his advantage and knows how to subtly fight for inside positioning. Makes great adjustments to the ball in the air and recovers quickly in the short area. Assisted by his long arms and overall good body length. Knows how to high-point the football and shows good timing and leaping skills. Will come up hard in perimeter run support and stick running backs with good pop. Shows he is susceptible to the double move at times and we question his true top-end speed if left on an island. Displays very good acceleration, but does tend to build speed at times. Is a productive receiver on offense, but does not always show similar ball skills at corner. Overall, Fulton has a very good blend of size, physicality, makeup speed and savvy. Has been coached well and should adjust quickly both mentally and physically to the next level. Should also be a great special teams performer adding to his upside.
