COREY BROWN

Brown is a wonderful athlete blessed with speed and change-of-direction skills. He splits duties at running back and wide receiver, but his speed, build and ball skills will land him at wide receiver at the next level. Has adequate height and a lean frame. Displays explosive speed and quickness both off the line and with the ball in his hands. He is a space player that is at his best as a perimeter runner. He shows impressive initial quickness and burst through the line of scrimmage. Gets to top speed rapidly. He shows good vision and patience as a runner. Will consistently see the backside lane opening up and shows the change-of-direction skills to exploit it. He is elusive and will make defenders miss in space. He runs hard and will break more tackles than his smallish frame indicates. Is comfortable running in line or bouncing plays to the edge and has great feet in the hole. Is a bob-and-weave type of runner that dips, plants and will break defenders down in the open field. Has very soft, confident hands and does an excellent job adjusting to balls thrown outside of his frame. Plucks on the run and wastes little time getting up field. Has very good hand-eye coordination. Brown is a good leaper and attacks the high ball in tight coverage down the sideline. Brown is not a big, strong physical player and needs to add upper-body strength. He can play inside or outside, but once he settles in at one spot he should develop into a crisp route-runner. He is raw and only utilizes his quickness and speed right now. Overall, Brown is gifted, versatile and has many traits you cannot coach. Excellent prospect that could become a real mismatch in space for most defenses
