BRIAN MILLER

The state of Massachusetts has been able to produce some solid talent at the tight end position in recent years and it appears they have another good prospect there in this class. Actually, Miller is arguably the best receiving target of the recent wave of tight ends out of this New England state. He has good size and while he needs to add bulk to his frame he comes across as a fairly muscular kid for his build. He has good hands and displays the ability to consistently catch the ball away from his body and bring it in. He can extend his arms and catch the ball above his head. Displays good concentration and while he will flash the ability to high point the ball you would like to see him go up for it a little more. He is not a very long strider for his size, but does display good straight-line speed. Needs to keep developing as a route runner, but displays the tools to be able to flex out at the college level. He is tough after the catch and will fight for yards and is someone that you need to wrap-up and secure as he will not go down with arm tackles. Will play from an in-line position and displays the strength and physical nature to be able to contribute as a blocker. Flashes the ability to get hands on, but needs to sure to get good placement. Is a kid who displays good raw strength even for his lean build and if he keeps his pad level down is capable of creating push in the run game. Miller needs keep developing aspects of his game, but can be a productive and potentially well-rounded college tight end.
