Dean is a tall, slashing runner with a nice blend of foot quickness, power and straight-line speed. He has an aggressive running style, keeping his legs pumping and is very difficult to tackle. He shows a very good balance and hits the hole downhill at full speed. Dean makes sharp cuts and is able to plant and pivot with great quickness. He shows the ability to see the cutback lane early and hits it decisively. Excellent lateral mobility given his height; we project he will be in the backfield mix early at UCLA.
