ANDRE YRURETAGOYENA

Yruretagoyena is a dominant run blocker in space vs. linebackers and defensive backs. His height is good for the offensive tackle position however his body mass must and should improve over time. Appears to have good flexibility but lacks great explosion coming off the ball in 1 on 1 drive blocking situations. His fit and pad level are too high however he does a good job maintaining contact due to his leg drive. Although not a shocker off the line, this player is a battler who gets movement due to his tenacity. Flashes the athleticism to pull and trap; will need to polish his technique but is able to get in front and kick out with explosion at the point of attack or turn up field with very good open field success. His initial step when reach blocking is a too high but his athleticism allows him to make contact while working up field. Demonstrates the ability to play on his feet in space with crushing success. We like this guy's tough finishing attitude when run blocking, displaying the willingness to punish defenders when the opportunity arises. Displays the ability to slide his feet and play flat footed however all areas of pass protection will need attention; specifically initial set punch, location and extension. This is a very determined guy who gets excellent results once getting his hat on defenders. His playing strength is very evident in space. Yruretagoyena's immediate challenge at the next level will be to improve his pass pro techniques. Once this is accomplished we see a very solid long term starter.
