Cann is an athletic and versatile offensive and defensive lineman. He has average size and will need to put on some bulk and overall strength at the next level. As an offensive lineman, he is quick off the ball and gets into the defender in a hurry. Really works his hands throughout the block and works to get them inside the frame. Could give more jarring of an initial low but this guy really stays after the defensive lineman and gets good movement off the line of scrimmage. A fighter who works hard to finish every block. Light in the hips and can run well when pulling and trapping. Has no trouble getting turned upfield and locking on to linebackers in the open field. Alert when trapping and can drop his pads and snap hips to unload on defender. Pass protection is solid but is best suited as an interior lineman due to arm length and overall size. As a defensive end, he shows good quickness on the snap and uses hands to separate and disengage from the the offensive blocker. Uses rip technique to beat blocker inside and does an excellent job working the edges on pass rush. Gives great effort pursuing to the football and takes proper angles to the football. Moves well laterally and can change direction without losing balance and control. Cann is a very good lineman who has excellent technical schools and foot quickness. His versatility makes him a valuable athlete to any college.
