Leonard is like your local handyman. You have a variety of jobs to get done around the house you call your local handyman who can do a lot of things well and get the job done. That is what Leonard is like on the football field. Need a linebacker? Call Leonard, need a defensive end? Call Leonard, need a running back? Call Leonard. He may not be spectacular at everything he does, but everything you ask him to do he seems to do well. As a senior his responsibilities could expand to quarterback which makes his versatility even more impressive. While you like that he can do so many things well the best fit for him in college may be on offense as a tight end / H-Back. He does not have great height for the tight end position, but is a big kid physically with a solid wing span. He is a good receiver who can be used as a target in the passing game. He has good hands and concentration and can extend his arms and snatch the ball out of the air in stride. He is also good at using his hands to get into his routes. He makes it tough for defenders to alter his release as he is active with his hands and can clear and get going. He runs good routes. He has good and deceptive speed. He does not always look to be moving all that fast, but he can stretch the field. Not very elusive after the catch, but tough to tackle. He is a kid with good strength and balance and will not go down unless you wrap him up. Needs to work on his game as a blocker. Flashes the ability to use his hands and make contact and get in front of defenders. He is not afraid to mix it up, but needs to work on his technique and be sure to stay under control and not get overextended. With all he does it is too be expected that he will have some deficiencies in technique which should be easily corrected with time to focus on one spot. Has the size to line up as an in-line player, but will likely be a kid who is moved around on offense in college. He also could be a good special team's player. Leonard is a good football player who will most likely fit into the tight end category, but don't be surprised to see him expanding past that label some.
